For nearly 30 years I have been in the business of helping businesses. I have been general counsel for all types of businesses from high tech to entertainment, and from manufacturer to service provider. As general counsel, I engage in strategic analysis of the business’ legal needs and managements goals. This often includes ownership of the entire legal process for company, from oversight of legal strategies to implementation of the specific solutions.
Over the years I have had the privilege of working with some of the largest law firms in Los Angeles, including having worked projects with O’Melvany & Myers, McKenna Long & Aldridge, Quinn Emanuel, and Frandzel Robins, among others. I have enjoyed working for some of the largest companies in their fields such as: Merisel Americas (one of the larges distributors of third party hardware and software in North America), and the escrow and title division of Countywide, among others. I have also had the opportunity to serve as in house counsel on several occasions, most notably spending a year with a pair of new media entertainment companies, revamping their legal service departments and saving them over $30,000.00 a month in legal fees.
I’ve enjoyed playing on, and heading up, great teams of lawyers, executives, and others, both professionally and civicly. While serving the Bar, as a governor of The Beverly Hills Bar Association, twice as chair the Business Law Section, and once as chair of delegation to the State Bar of California, I was awarded both the Executive Director’s Award and the Bar’s Outstanding Service Award. Over the years I have appeared in Who’s Who in American Law, The International Who’s Who of Professionals, and even garnered an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
I’ve appeared as a speaker and educator for the State Bar of California and for The Beverly Hills Bar Association, lecturing in such areas as Business Entities, Contract Drafting, and Corporate Law.
